Cadenza’s MLM Introducing features Hans Groover and “Lil’ Jazz”
Cadenza has published an MLM Introducing feature on Hans Groover to mark the release of “Lil’ Jazz” [MLM028] on Machaca La Membrana.
In the interview, Hans talks about where the tracks came from: a period of being fully immersed in jazz, and the challenge of writing fusion-inspired toplines over a house groove. He points to jazz drummer Elvin Jones and his connection between jazz and Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms, which shaped the bassline and drums on the title track.
“It’s a really great feeling to be releasing on the label. Like many people in this genre, Luciano is an artist I have a lot of respect for and I really love the direction he has taken Machaca.”
He also mentions a large folder of unreleased music, with more releases across different labels on the way, including his Hot Creations release, “Let The Beat Rock” with Angel Mnez.
